Sultanpur, 46 kms to the south-west of Delhi, is a green haven with a lake and wild birds. Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is an ideal place to spend a day with wonderful avian species. Sultanpur was declared a water-bird reserve in 1972 is the neighbouring state of Delhi . The sanctuary is a bird watcher's paradise and is home to a number of birds and animals. The sanchuary is covered with lush green grounds, lawns, trees and masses of bougainvillea.
