Bandhavgarh
is a small national park but thick forest sits in a bowl encircled by cliffs
and wooded Vindhyan Mountains. The Park is spread over an area of 437 sq. km.
This is also known as White Tiger territory. These have been found in the old
state of Rewa for many years. I ts plains have a number of grass and reed covered
wetlands where Kingfishers dive and Egrets sit poised, hunch-backed, in the
shallows. The Bandhavgarh jungle becomes a living self-sustaining organism providing
its own climate, atmosphere, water and nutrition through its recycling systems.
It even has a sleep wake cycle. As more light fills the sky, Bandhavgarh begins
to awaken.
Once
a popular hunting ground of the British, this 201 square mile park was named
in honor of the late Jim Corbett. The legendary (Late Jim Corbett) contributed
in setting up this park spending most of his life. With the help of the World
Wildlife Fund, Project Tiger was launched in Corbett National Park in 1973 and
this park was one of the first such tiger reserves in the country.
The
Panna National Park is home to some of the best wildlife species in India and
is one of the better Tiger Reserves in the country. Panna National Park is situated
in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh at a distance of around 57 km
from Khajuraho. Due to its closeness to one of the best-known Indian tourist
attraction in India, Khajuraho, the park has the potential of becoming a major
tourist attraction. The region is also home to some of the best wildlife species
in India and is one of the better Tiger Reserves in the country.The Panna National
Park is located in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh and is a part of the Chattarpur
district. The park is well connected with the other parts of the region by a
good network of roads.
The
Great Himalayan National Park
Rajaji
National Park spreads across three districts of Uttaranchal- Haridwar, Dehradun
and Pauri Garhwal, is lying in a 820 sq km swathe across the Shivaliks, near
the feet of the Himalayas. In 1983, the three wildlife sanctuaries of Rajaji,
Motichur and Chilla merged into one sprawling park land of three districts of
Uttaranchal: Haridwar , Dehradun and Pauri Garwhal. The three different protected
